Kylie Jenner's former chef is suing the reality TV star, alleging that the excessive workload and high-pressure events led to her miscarriage. This is the third lawsuit filed against Jenner, with the chef claiming discrimination, harassment, emotional distress, wrongful termination, retaliation, and failure to pay proper wages. The chef, who worked for Jenner from November 2024 to March 2025, says she was assigned excessive hours and physically demanding tasks despite informing Jenner and her management team about her high-risk pregnancy. During her employment, she was subjected to verbal hostility and mistreatment by her supervisors, including being instructed to lift and transport heavy food items without assistance, which caused a medical emergency. On February 1, 2025, during a birthday party for Jenner's child, the chef was assigned an excessive workload and denied requests for assistance, leading to emotional breakdown and physical exhaustion. The next morning, she woke up with severe hemorrhaging and lost her unborn child. After returning to work, she was falsely blamed for leaving Jenner's house in disarray and suffered another hemorrhage, leading to hospitalization. The chef also alleges that her employers characterized her communication about her medical condition and relocation as a voluntary resignation, despite her intent to remain employed. On March 14, she was removed from the Kylie Jenner household assignment and told that March 31, 2025, would be her final day. The chef is seeking damages, back pay, lost wages, lost earnings, and lost employment benefits, as well as front pay in lieu of reinstatement, all unpaid wages, attorneys' costs and fees, and a jury trial. This lawsuit comes on the heels of two other lawsuits filed by former housekeepers, Angelica Hernandez Vasquez and Juana Delgado Soto, who also allege a hostile work environment, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation based on their race, national origin, religion, and disability. These lawsuits highlight the ongoing legal battles surrounding workplace conditions and the treatment of employees in the entertainment industry, particularly for those working for high-profile individuals like Kylie Jenner.
